3) How effectively did you complete the objective you laid out in your mini preliminary exercise statement of intent?

I think I effectively completed my preliminary music video/TikTok course work as I followed the brief. For example, I attempted to make music from the K-pop genre seem mainstream from the music video by using conventions in western pop music videos (e.g. makeup that fits western beauty standards). Furthermore, I followed the shot list I had planned before but I’m planning on adding two extra clips at the beginning and end to provide a different setting and a different outfit to follow music videos conventions.  Additionally, I ensured that I followed my summer concept by keeping a colour scheme of yellow and white within the music video. I also used natural, high key lighting which reinforces the summer concept. Overall, I believe I effectively completed my statement of intent for my preliminary course work as I maintained a summer concept throughout the music video.

4) What have you learned from the preliminary exercise that will help you in the actual coursework project?

From the preliminary exercise I learnt how to use music video conventions practically and how to ensure that I follow a specific concept through my mise en scene (colour scheme, clothing, makeup and lighting).

5) Now you have completed the preliminary exercise, will you change anything about your actual coursework video plan? This could include your concept, cast/actors or technical elements such as mise-en-scene, camerawork or editing.

- Adding extra scenes with a different outfit and setting
- Adding lyrics onto the screen at certain parts rather than just having the only typography being the title at the start
- Colour grading a specific scene for extra effect
- Using another font to follow the modern concept that I planned on doing
- Fixing the lip sync
- Fixing cropping and upload resolution
- Adding industry info at the end instead of my original ending
