Cinematography video feedback and learner response

 1) Type up your feedback/comments from your teacher.

WWW:
- use of OTS
- steady pans
- good location
- good close up
- high angle shot use
- music matched action

EBI:
- wrong labelling
- more interesting narrative
- avoid jump clips

2) Type up your feedback from fellow students.

WWW:
- good planning
- setting
- props
- range of shots

EBI:
- labelling
- jumpcuts
- saturation

3) Now reflect on your work and write your own summary of the comments and feedback you have received. Write three WWWs and three EBIs.

From my feedback, I also agree that my labelling was wrong and that I should pay more attention to detail. Furthermore, I will attempt to fix the saturation when exporting my video as it decreases the quality and I will pay more attention to detail whilst labelling my camera shots. However, I agree that I had a solid plan as well as a range of shots and props to fully communicate the narrative I had in mind.

4) Learner response: think about what you learned about cinematography making the video and also watching others. What will you do differently when you start the coursework in the summer? What tips or tricks have you learned from others that you can use next time? Are there any specific aspects of camerawork that you need to revise or practice?

I learnt that camera work is not only important in making your work look professional but also in communicating meaning and implementing codes withing the text (e.g. action and enigma). I feel like I was repetitive with some shots so in my summer coursework I will use more unique shots and angles. I will also experiment with colour grading to further intensify the atmosphere that I am trying to create. For now, I want to focus on fixing my quality of my video.
