2) Read the mark scheme for this exam carefully (posted on your exam teacher's Google Classroom), paying particular attention to the the 'indicative content' for each question. Firstly, focus on the unseen question and identify two aspects of the poster that you could have written about in your answer.
Q1)
• how the different modes and language associated with different media forms communicate
multiple meanings - how different elements create different meanings
• the positioning of character and mode of address can be interpreted as signifiers of race and gender (the dominant white male, evasive black male, diminished female)
Q2)
• processes of production, distribution and circulation by organisations, groups and individuals in a global context
• Shift to self-scheduling – enabled by technology and cultural changes – away from industry-controlled viewing. - binge watching
• However, scheduling is still key to the way audiences consume TV shows – particularly around key
crime dramas and reality shows.

3) Look at the indicative content for Q1 again and make a note of any theories or examples of media terminology you could have used in your answer.

4) Now focus on the TV 25-marker. Read this exemplar response for the TV question and pick out three arguments, phrases or theories from the essay that you could use in a future question on Capital and Deutschland 83.

5) Finally, identify three things you need to revise for Media Paper 2 before your next assessment of mock exam.
- Industry and distribution in TV - revision on regulation may also be helpful
- Mise-en-scene in relation to how they may promote ideology
- Representations, post colonial theory and ideology
I think going over exam questions with an unseen piece of text will help me prepare as I will practice a range of media forms that could come up in the actual exam. It well also help me practice skills that I may have not have thought of doing so.
